Very quickly, may I just say that someone finally took my suggestion.
There is a show that debuted this even on NBC called "Baby Borrowers". It is all about teens who think they are ready to be parents who get that exact opportunity.
It was brilliant. Watch it an judge for yourself next week.
Their logo is something like "it's not t.v - it's birth control!"
Very interesting and so far, well done.

I hope the babies weren't traumatized! Traumatizing the teenagers is fine...
Skyepuppy,
That was my reason for viewing the show in the first place. I was really curious to see how this could work.
There were maybe 5 teen couples in 5 houses all on a little cul-de-sac. Each couple got a couple of "honeymoon" days to just be a couple living together, then they got a delivery of baby supplies to sort out and put together (like toys, bottles, diapers, cribs, playpens). The girls had to wear a pregnancy belly and the couples all had to attend a parenting/childbirth class at the hospital. Then the next morning, they all met their new babies.
The way this works is that there is a certified nanny in the house with the couple at all times, but she may not intervene unless the child is in danger. Also, the real parents of the babies can watch everything that goes on 24/7 on a special video camera feed. Sometimes they did intervene, if they felt like their child really needed something.
Overall, the babies were quite safe and well-cared for.
I will be interested to see more of this show as the series progresses. The teen couples will start with babies, then they will get toddlers, then they get siblings (I think) and then they go on to parent teenagers. I'm not sure the teenager thing will be very representative of a real-life situation though, as they would not realistically be in that position.
Still, it's was very interesting to watch.
Shoot, I meant to watch that! I'm glad you thought it was well done and I will try to catch it this week.
So is it something where a couple gets voted off for being lousy parents? Or do they all stay and experience the different age ranges?
I remember the "it's birth control" statement from the previews. Usually a trip to the mall or a Sunday morning church service is all I need. (Not that I need birth control. Let's not start THAT rumor.)
