A Day (or two) in Our Lives

She swears she isn't tired...I turn around and she is sound asleep on the rug!
A few minutes later, the dog joined naptime. Ahhh..peace and quiet.

Our two cats, Bob (on top) and Puma, both girls, both fighting over the same seat. Bob always wins, even though she weighs 5 lbs. less. She just lays on top of Puma until Puma gives in.

Emily and her buddy, Bella.

Em sporting her overalls and pigtails.

*Snort* You sure you aren't peeking in at my house? LOL I'm amazed how fast Flicka can fall asleep after repeatedly telling me she's not tired! LOL

And, GOOD GRIEF, when did she get so big!? We're gonna have to get down there to see you guys before she graduates high school! *wink*

Finally, completely off topic, I finally had enough...another big naming calling hissy fit at the PAIF board this weekend. Deleted my photo albums and canceled my membership. Should have left when you did but didn't listen to my "little voice". I'm done but am so glad that you are one of the nicest things that came out of being a member there! LOL

Beth,

Those instant sleeps are few and far between here, but I have noticed that the louder the protest of not being tired, the more likely it is to happen.

As to when Em got so big...I think she sneaks it in on me when I'm not looking. I take her picture periodically by the front door to compare how she measures up. This time last year, her head was around the bottom of the doorknob, now it's above the deadbolt lock. Amazing.

And can I just say that I totally understand your decision about PAIF. What an immature group at times. What started out as encouraging and comforting quickly turned catty and belittling. You have no idea how tempted I was to write in and use this is a perfect example of why I left. And I'm sure you noticed that the only opinions that are tolerated there are liberal ones. The majority are the bullies. Yay to Lisa for sticking up for herself, but I personally knew it was time to "shake the dust off my shoes" and move on. There are better places for both of us.

I agree, by the way, that the board was good for meeting a few "gems" like you, though!
